NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting

Something I have been wanting to do in a while is learn to shoot a gun.  Hubby bought me a gun a couple of years ago and it has been sitting in the safe waiting to be used.

I am now going to take the course to learn about pistol shooting.  I start on Sunday.

Yes, it is a pink .38 special, real and dangerous.  This is not a toy.  I am taking it seriously.  I have to read the entire book before I take the class.  I will let you know if I pass the test.

Another Day with Hope! And Murphy's Law....

Well the bad news is that at midnight last night, my daughter got a text saying Delta cancelled her flight again!  The good news is that we get to spend this evening together at a cheerleading competition!!

They rebooked her on another flight tomorrow afternoon and if that doesn't get out, then she will drive with her friend on Sunday.  I hate the snow.  I truly hate it.

And here is the irony....The Iditarod in Alaska had to be moved further north due to conditions in Alaska being too warm and because of a lack of snow!!!  And that, my friends, is Murphy's law!

Home

My Daughter has been home this week and it has been a good one.  However, the weather was a factor in not being able to do a lot of things that she and I wanted to get done!

She was actually supposed to leave today at 1:30 from LGA on Delta.  Yesterday, knowing the storm was coming, I called and was able to change her flight to Friday morning.  Obviously, the flight she was supposed to be on today was cancelled once the airport closed due to the crash.  (So glad everyone was safe!!)  As of now, she is scheduled for 8:30 am, but we will be watching the Flight Status of Delta to make sure she is going to get off the ground tomorrow.  If she doesn't fly back, she does have a ride with a friend from upstate CT back to NC on Sunday.

We got about 6 inches of snow today and there was no work due to no school.  I shoveled three times today, but I didn't do any shoveling during the last storm, so it was my turn!  :)
