I hate raccoons

Last night while I was at the Fashion Show (post and pictures to come), a raccoon broke into the chicken coop and killed one of my girls.  This time, the sneaky mailto:b@$!@%5Ed came through the door....How??? Well he climbed on top of the coop, reached down and unlocked the top door, jumped in and killed one.  The other two girls fled and as dumb as chickens ususally are, they came right up to our sliding kitchen door and began to peck at it until my son came out to see what was going on.  That was when we knew something was wrong!!!  My brother killed the raccoon, the chicken was already dead.  The other two hens were scared to death though......They were okay this morning, but there were no eggs.  Thank Goodness, I'll be getting three more hens in about a month.
