Hubby brought him to the groomers on Wednesday and by lunch, he was a new pup! This is the BEFORE picture:

No more fur/hair in the house - I'm so thankful!
And he probably lost 5 lbs!

A new (old) dog
Our long haired German/Australian Shepherd has been the bane of my existence for some time now. He sheds like no other! I am NOT a dog person and I couldn't handle it any longer, so I put out the ultimatum....The dog goes (literally) or he gets totally shaved! Take your pick!

You know, he's probably much happier too. We had cat we lovingly called Mr. Mo. His full name was Cosmopolitan until we learned (hmmm...hmmm...) that he was a boy. So then he became Cosmo, or Mo for short. Anyhoo, he was a long-haired cat. We eventually started getting him shaved every summer because his fur was so thick that he would get these huge mats in his fur that he just couldn't take care of anymore. He LOVED getting shaved! You could totally tell that he was happier as a short-haired cat!
