I have been looking online at dresses (I know it isn't the same as going to look and trying on dresses) and have found a couple that I like. I know I am going to be wearing gold or something similar. I have found a rose gold dress and then another that is sort of black with a gold lace overlay that is really pretty, but style-wise, I am unsure of what I am looking for. I know I don't want the typical mother-of-the-groom dress, so I have to find a style that will suit me. Pinterest is a great resource, so I will continue to look.

Here is one that I found where I love the back, but I am not a fan of the front.....so I'll keep looking~

Baptism
We had a baptism for the newest member of my hubby's family. He is now a Great Uncle!!
Jaxon Joseph was born at the end of November and they Christened him last weekend. I didn't take a lot of photos, but this is one of his Great-grandmother!

2nd Post of Blizzard 2015
At 1:00 am last night, we had another two inches of snow. We did not go outside and shovel as it just wasn't worth it. We woke up this morning to another five inches, but it is blowing and drifting so it isn't too bad. I guess we are the lucky ones. Our total is about 9 inches as of 7:00 am.
I guess the eastern part of the state got the worst of it.....I am heading out now to do some shoveling. It is supposed to continue to snow, so I guess we will be getting more.
My son made it home this morning with no problems! So that is the best news.

Blizzard 2015
Monday, January 26th, 2015
We woke up to a 20 degree morning and headed off to work early. I got in at 7:45 instead of 8:30 just to get a jump on things. We had an early dismissal at 1:00. Hubby came to pick us up. It was snowing, but only about an inch or two of accumulation! We took my niece home and then took the trips back to our house. Hubby had to go back to work until four. The trips played outside with the dog for about 45 minutes until they were too cold and then they came in for some soup! My brother-in-law came and got the trips about 45 minutes later and then I made dinner. Rick was home (sleeping) until the trips woke him up. The snow had stopped by this time, for about an hour. It started snowing again around dinner time. I got the text that Dom finally made it home and I breathed easy that my family was safe! However, Rick had to go to work for 11:00 so he decided to go to his friends house and hang out there - his friend only lives a few blocks from work, so he could actually walk to work if he had to. The news stated that it would start ramping up at 2-4 inches per hour at about 8:00 pm. However, by 9:00, it was still really light. Hubby and I went out about 9:30 and shoveled about three inches off the patio, stairs and driveway. The temperature at 10:30 pm is now 23 degrees and the news says it is going to get bad soon. I feel like they are back pedaling a little. At six o'clock, they said we were getting 18 to 25 inches with bands of 30 inches. At 10:30, the weather(wo)men changed it to 15 to 25 inches, no bands. So we shall see. They said the wind would be 25 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 mph. I heard one gust earlier, but while we were outside for about an hour, there were no gusts. Now they are saying it is going to ramp up about 1:00 am.....

The new job
I started the new job on December 11th and so far, it is working out great!
I am so happy I decided to stick closer to home and work in a Catholic Christian setting. It is something that I have always wanted to do and very nearly my dream job!
I get to see my nieces and nephews, my mom, and many other people all day long. I think that is the best part. Sitting a desk and staring at a computer for 8 hours a day, just didn't cut it any more. I did that for more years than I care to count!

Back to college
Schools in the south get out early for Christmas break. My daughter was home by December 8th. Unfortunately, that means that they have to go back earlier also. Classes start tomorrow, so she left yesterday to head back down to NC.
Hopefully, she will be able to come home for a few days for spring break!

Happy 75th!
My mother-in-law's birthday was actually in November, but she wanted all her grandchildren to attend the party, so it was held during the Christmas vacation so all of the college students would be home!
It was a really nice time and she was happy to spend time with family and friends!!
Here she is with all her grandchildren and her one great-grandchild!!

Christmas Morning
We started a new tradition last year! On Christmas morning, my kids come over and we have a nice leisurely breakfast (after sleeping in!) and we open up our gifts. We don't have little ones anymore, so the excitement of children is not there, but spending time with all three of my kids (and a fiance and a girlfriend) is really, really great!
And as you can see, there are just as many gifts! Presents are opened in the dining room and breakfast is in the kitchen!
