World War I Poster

I was reading Rob's World blog the other day and he has on it the Food Poster Tour of Posters from WWI and WWII  - I had to look because WWII posters always fascinated me especially the Victory Garden Posters.   (I am going to post a blog about some of the Women and Food Posters in the next week or so.)  I thought I would see more canning posters (which I did), but what I found was even better!  And it's older - this is from WWI!

To all my family and friends out there who think I'm (a little) crazy to keep my beautiful girls (hens), read the third to last line, "Its both Patriotic and Profitable to keep the laying hen"   My new mantra!!!

Have an EGG-cellent  day!!!!!

(Now I just have to find the $150.00 to buy the antique poster and frame it!) (It would look great in my kitchen!) LOL

At 2c per egg, it may take a while to save up for the poster, lol! I think the poster is great. The patriotism from the era is awesome.

What a great poster. The same holds true today. If only more people would see the benefit.

Love the poster! Try looking on etsy.com because they always have some great finds at good prices even if it is a reprint. I owe you a august bon appetit magazine because they have an equally good quote about farm shares.
